PCV röret möjliggör en snabb och reproducerbar mätteknik av cellvolymen. Metoden är idealisk för övervakning av tillväxt (cellmassa). Efter en kort centrifugering, samlas cellvolymen som en pellet. Med "easy read" mätanordning, kan volymen avläsas.
