Our process

  1. Send in pipettes (we also offer pickup)
Clean your pipettes with 70% ethanol and complete the decontamination form.

The decontamination form can be downloaded here.

Pack the pipettes together with the completed decontamination form and tips, if desired, and send to:

    Nordic Biolabs AB
    Att. Pipettdoktorn
    Ritarslingan 16
    187 66 TÄBY

  2. Function check
Your pipettes are checked before maintenance and a report is prepared. To evaluate pipette performance prior to service, ten measurements are performed at three different volumes.

  3. Maintenance
Your pipettes are cleaned, lubricated, and assembled according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  4. Actions
If needed, we carry out service and repair on your pipettes, which is included in the price (excluding spare parts). You will receive a quotation if the cost of spare parts exceeds SEK 600 per pipette.

  5. Calibration

Ten measurements are performed at three volumes in accordance with ISO 8655:2022. Results are evaluated against applicable MPE tolerances (Maximum Permissible Error) using original tips or customer-specific tips (15 tips per channel).

Decision rule: For statements of conformity, a binary decision rule is applied in accordance with ILAC G8:09/2019, section 4.2.1.

A shared risk principle is applied without guard banding (zero guard band), where the acceptance limits are equal to the tolerance limits specified in ISO 8655:2022.

    PASS
The result is within the specified tolerance limits.

    FAIL
The result is outside the specified tolerance limits.
Statements of conformity are only provided when:
    TUR ≥ 1
    When
    TUR < 1
any PASS/FAIL marking only indicates that the result has been compared with the tolerance limits in ISO 8655:2022 and should not be interpreted as a formal statement of conformity according to ILAC G8:09/2019.

Accredited calibration of multichannel pipettes is carried out by our partner Sartorius in Finland. All channels in multichannel pipettes are tested.

  6. Report

After completed service, you will receive an electronic service and calibration report, as well as a certificate for accredited calibration in accordance with ISO 17025.

Service and repair are always included in the price.
